Osakki – Berries, Inc

Sounds like an exotic fruit doesn’t it?  Osakki Berries.   I couldn’t resist, and now I’m hungry.  In November the skies become grey, the trees are bare, and I put this together in tribute.  Osakki was a cute store to find, I love this sculpted, sleeveless sweater with hood, and how nicely it goes with the Marla skirt from Berries, Inc.  The Marla skirt, is very well textured, and I love the click change color belt and belt loops.  The buttons are perfection.  I continued the texturing with the Typhoon Boots from Paper Couture, I love the lush suede.

Having just left dockside after venturing from London aboard the H.M.S. Once upon a time, I was walking along a winter field, and came across a mysterious crow sitting in a bare, snow covered tree. As I passed underneath it, the bird shook, and the sky around me filled with magical, tingly snow dust from the shaking branch. For the rest of that day and for quite some time afterward, my perspective on life seemed to, well, change. Amazing what a little snowdust can do. ~ Inspired by a poem from Robert Frost.

As charming as Shabby Chic decor is, there’s something just a bit demoralizing about facing a white world inside and out, so when the snow starts to fly I’m drawn irresistibly to warm, sunny earth tones purely for their comfort factor.  Domicile‘s newest skybox release, the Autumn, is in these shades of gold, orange and rich brown and is every bit as comforting as a cup of hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin pie on a winter’s evening.

Chaisuki – Paris

Chai Kazan of Chaisuki skins recently released a new skin named Paris.   It’s a well defined skin, special attention paid to all areas.  I particularly like the stomach on all tones, navel, and collar bone.  She features several bikini options, hair bases, and layers of lipsticks, several layers of eyeliner, eye decor, blood, blush, smokey eyes.  They are all fun to play with. Mixing and matching to create a really unique look.

The Paris skin is available in six skin tones, from Milky to Nougat.  Shown below, are Milky, Peach, and Nougat.  The attention  to the nuances of the lighter skins is great. I tried this skin, with several of the shapes I use, and find it went well with all of them, each had a unique look as well.  Grab some demos at Chaisuki.

I don’t know why, but when winter approaches, I think more about my soul. I believe that my virtual soul has the same needs as any other, so about this time I start hanging out in snowy areas of the grid, preferably where there are old cathedrals and snow covered grounds nearby. Cold crystalline snow has this wonderful, cleansing, forgiving quality to it. And forgiveness liberates the soul.

Amacci – Full Service Salon

Amacci is a full service salon store, offering skins, hair, eyes, lashes, and lingerie…even eye sparkles!  They recently had some releases you should definitely check out if you haven’t already.

Amacci – Hair Base & Pony Tails

Firstly she just released a pack of hair base attachment ponytails that I love, and when it comes to hair bases…Carina Larsen is muh gurl.  Guys, she has pony attachments and hair bases for you as well.  Then she really wowed us by then releasing a “crazy hair” pack of shades of Blue, Blueberry, Cherry, Lilac, Lime, Pink, Purple, and Red.  Amazingly, at the moment those Crazy Hair packs (all hairs have this option as a pack now) are $35L each which include the hair base as well…so if you occasionally like me have a penchant for Pink Ponies…well then. (shown here are Blue, Lime, Blueberry (yeah I know like the yummy warm blueberry pie…mmmm, Pink.)

Since cooler air is presently circulating where I live, it’s time to rummage through the closet and break out some warmer wear. No Ice Station Zebra parkas are required yet, so leave them be. Let’s see…hmmm, yeah, a sweater…, yeah a sweater should do. And maybe a scarf. Geez, I’ve got so many scarves. And most of em kinda, well, they kinda suck.
