It’s hard to pick up where I left off, fashion-blogging-wise. I haven’t been blogging regularly since who knows when and I have been on a hiatus since…. well, forever. But I’m back!
For this post, I’m wearing a clubbing dress from a clothing store called gO!…. I’m not going to lie. I liked the dress better on the vendor picture than I do on me. I mean, it’s fine. But it glows and sparkles a bit too much (from a sparkled script, I think)… I didn’t even know it sparkled… There might be a demo to try on, but I didn’t notice. Oops.
Sparkling aside, I don’t particularly love the fit; it’s a bit bulky around the hips. The mesh dress comes in several sizes, from XXS to L. I’m not a small avi, but I managed to squeeze into a small anyway, with some modest editing to my shape. The slits on the side are a bit too high; my underwear shows (ugh–be sure to wear some pretty undergarments because if your avi finds itself in a weird pose, your boobies will pop out). There are also some slight seam problems on the sides of the dress, but it’s not too noticeable.
Anyway, I like the concept of the dress–more of a tunic than a dress, I guess. And it’s not too bad for the price–L$244. It reminds me of something I would get from Forever 21 or Bebe’s; not in red. (The dress comes in a whole bunch of other colors–I just chose red because I wanted the color for this post).
I accessorized with a pair of heels I got from Redgrave for L$690. It comes with a hud that includes 12 colors! And some nice pedicures. I wish the shoes came in a color that matched the dress or bag though…. The skin-matching wasn’t too difficult. I got the heels this morning but had problems with them being delivered to me. They were delivered two hours later (weird, right?), but the Redgrave sim had to restart when I paid, so….
The bag I’m clutching is an old purchase (2009?) I also dug the necklace out from the back of my closet and I don’t know if it’s available anymore. It looks antique and gives the sexy, hoochie look some character.
The look is an attention grabber great for date night or clubbing. You’ll definitely stand out…. Meet a couple of hot guys and sip some free cosmo, courtesy of hot guys.
The skin was provided to me as a review copy from a new brand called ViViG; I just so happen to be a spokeswoman for the brand, too (yay).
The skin’s called Vivi–comes in 6 skin tones, 2 brow and hairbase options, 30 make-up each; each skin has a lip-teeth option. There are 7 other breast sizes, not counting the default b cup. There are also some blush and contour tattoo layers to mess around with. I’ll be blogging more about the skin later.
