HOME EXPO IS COMING!!!! Sorry for the caps, but this is definitely one of my favorite favorite favorite events of the year!

This is the sixth year for the Home and Garden Expo in Second Life. The event has over 100 of Second Life’s best home and garden creators, so there’s sure to be SOMETHING you need for your home there! This year the event spans 8 sims for just the home and garden products, 2 sims for the Breedables Fair, and 1 sim for entertainment. There will be a great hunt, silent auctions, and raffles, too! It’s going to be so much fun!

The Home and Garden Expo runs from May 24th to June 2nd and benefits Relay For Life. See you there!

This is kind of a sad post for me today! This is my last post as an official Collabor88 blogger.

I have been with Collabor88 as a blogger since the very very beginning when there were just 8 of us. It has been an AMAZING journey and I am so thrilled to have been part of it. But as a blogger, sometimes you have to ask yourself if you’re really doing justice to the wonderful creators who take part in the event every month. My answer was, unfortunately, no. As much as I absolutely adore the event, I feel like it’s time for me to go so someone new can take my place and have as much fun with it as I did!

I wanted to say a huge huge thank you to Drinkenstein Sorbet for starting such a fantastic event, and wish her well as she ends her SL business to go on some RL adventures. And also, a HUGE thank you to all the awesome Collabor88 creators who have allowed me to blog them every month for the past two years. You guys make SL beautiful. ♥

Of course, I’ll still be blogging Collabor88» View author and full post… on my own because, duh, I’ll always want to shop there!

I feel like I’ve been away from this blog forever! If you read my personal blog, you know why. If you don’t…well, what’s wrong with you? LOL! Kidding! Let’s get on with the good stuff! Well, and some bad stuff. But it’s mostly good stuff.

After many years on the grid, and many years of being my “Almost Always” posemaker, Adorkable Peapod is closing her store. SADFACE. She has been one of my favorite favorite posers for ages and although I know this is the best thing for her, I can’t help but think “What about ME!” There is a closing sale at aDORKable Poses until June 9th, so be sure to go pick up some goodies. Thanks for all the years of being the best!

Truth Hawks released some great new hair this week along with his brand new textures! The textures are truly lovely, and although I might have given him some sh!t for taking away the 2 colors I wear most, I do really like the new colors. But shhh, don’t tell him I said that. I fell in love with the Lotus hair because I’ve been doing a side braid a lot in RL lately.

I’m having a case of insomnia tonight, so I thought I’d do Magenta’s Basics, B!tches meme. I almost called her Skittles, which I guess would be what most everyone else knows her as, but in case you went to her blog and were like “Skittles? It says her name is Magenta! What’s going on?!” then I wanted to save you any misunderstanding.

Um, anyway.

So Skittles wanted to know what our basics are. What do we go to first, what do we not leave the house with, etc. These are mine!

I’m pretty simple, if that hasn’t been obvious in this blog. But when I’m not blogging, I’m even more simple and it’s not uncommon for me to stay in an outfit for days if I’m not blogging, OR switching back into a “more comfortable” outfit right after a blog post. I don’t know why. :-p

Collabor88 started today! Woot woot! The theme this month is “Rain or Shine” and the designers have totally had fun with the theme as usual! I know there has been some debate lately, so I’ll just say this: C88 was NEVER intended to be an event where people would sell everything for 88L. I have been blogging C88 from the beginning and never never never was it said that all the items would be 88L. If things seemed less expensive in the beginning, it was because it was in the pre-mesh days when a lot of things were less expensive! If you have a problem with the price of these items, you’re certainly not required to shop there. But I hope you still will go to Collabor88 and support the designers, because these items are pretty darn awesome.

So many goodies this week!!! Seriously, I just can’t get over it!

FaMESHed is turning ONE this month and the birthday celebration is spectacular! There is SO much good stuff, like the Little Paris kitchen from Tia, the Odette dress from Tee*fy, and the Fire To The Rain hair from Exile, just to name a few! If you don’t usually go to FaMESHed, now would REALLY be a good time to get your butt over there to shop!

If you heard the sounds of female squealing earlier, Gos Boutique released the new Ursula wedges! This is just such a cool looking shoe. I’m usually more classic in the type of shoe I like, but I just went crazy for this shoe! It does use the OneTime Skin Matching HUD, so if you’ve tinted other Gos feet before, then you know just how easy it is to tint and go!

And go you should, because there’s a lot of shopping to be done!

Hey hey, it’s almost May! Jane dropped some great new releases recently and Zodiac is going strong. Strong like bull!

The Day Trip dress from Jane is one of those beauties that you can totally dress up or down, whatever your style is in that moment. I really love versatile pieces and this is definitely that kind of dress!

I totally fell in love with the Andorra necklace that appears to be a collaboration piece between LouLou & Co and Virtual Insanity for Zodiac. It’s girly enough for someone like me, but still has an edge to it.

I took these photos out at Cica Ghost’s Rust exhibit. It’s really a cool build, so I suggest checking it out.

We have our own little private beach on Bluebonnet just a few steps from our home. I love spending time on it and it makes it just that much nicer when I have pretty new clothes to wear while playing on the beach!

Stellar is part of My Attic this month, and has brought us a great outfit called Spring Into Summer. The outfit includes the long skirt that I’m wearing, plus a bathing suit, sunglasses [also shown], earrings, a popsicle, and eye makeup. If you’re into huge boobs, it also includes the Tango applier. I just adore the long skirt! I wanted to show a little more skin, so I paired it with the top of the Stillwater bikini from OneBadPixel.

Zodiac has started in the Taurus round, and there are a lot of great things to buy! My pose today comes from the Intuition pack by !Bang for Zodiac.

Go do some shopping, and then let’s hit the beach!

I don’t wear a lot of fancy gowns in SL. I’m pretty casual most of the time and we don’t have the time to go to fancy dance places often. But oh, when Evangeline Miles has a new gown out…honey, I will MAKE an occasion to wear it.

Fantasy Faire 2013 starts this Saturday and naturally Evie’s Closet is there! I’m wearing the Kie Spring Fantasy gown in Magnolia and it seriously makes me want to get married all over again. Although there is a pink tint to it in my photo [unintentionally], this gown is more of an off white. It’s part mesh, part flexi, and the combo is awesome! Evie’s Closet will be on the Magnificat sim at the fair.

If you haven’t been to Collabor88 yet, you need to get on it. I am totally in love with Titania’s Filigree Heart necklace from Maxi Gossamer! It comes in both gold and silver metals, two different lengths, and the heart is color change. I went with turquoise because I like turquoise. Do I need a better reason?
