Is it wrong to address a person Ms, Miss, Mr or Mrs? Some people see it as too formal, some see it as fake, some see it as good manners and some see it as respect for another human/avatar. I think this is really a cultural thing because there is a huge cultural diversity that exist in Second Life. Communication over cyberspace can be so flawed and we should not pass judgement too quickly.
We may seem to ‘look’ the same and dress in the same style, but our upbringing and our cultural background aren’t all the same. We could easily misunderstood another who are of another culture or country, even the best of intentions! Translators can never express the true meaning in one’s language to another and it’s not the fault of the translator, but because there are some words and expressions that don’t exist in some languages. Once I read an interesting article about cross cultural communication and it said that we can understand another culture through its language.

This elegant dress on me is a new release by Russh Lussh. Inspired by the real life Dior, the dress is made of sculpty skirt, sleeves, collar, belt and layers of undershirt and underwear.
I have styled myself up and done my photo shoots days before today. I was just short of something to write. It’s like a writer’s block. Then, out of the blue today, my doubts which had been lingering for two years were finally removed. Many things which I had experienced in Second Life were like a tested hypothesis. Nevertheless, whatever happens in our lives, we must never stop hoping and working towards a better life.

There is something I really love about this hair and this dress, and the whole look! I can’t seem to find the words for it. Plain Jane? …. I don’t think so. May be … a modest charming feminine look. I think a lot of times in Second Life, too many of us are probably over-dressed, trying to showcase too much, too perfect, too expensive, and probably to the extend of trying to outdo, outshine one another. Being able to dress down and look gorgeous without the big brands could become quite a challenge.

I escaped to Second Life today, taking a short break from my busy real life. The hot and humid weather at my side of the world just drove me off to a Second Life beach! I walked barefooted along the sandy beach at the edge of the water, feeling the sand and the water on my feet…. coupled with the sound of the waves and the warm breeze on the body…. it is such a relaxing feeling!!!

If you would only know how much time I take to put together a look and blog about it each time, you would probably laugh! But then, you must know, I have myself a list of criteria to meet before making a purchase. Too rational? I know.
Here is one bundled outfit from To Be Unique that has almost everything one needs to look good. Shanti is a Sanskrit word which I had came across quite a number of Indian women have for their names. I had not thought of finding out if this word carries a meaning until Legal Insanity released a new mesh dress with this name recently. Shanti simply means peace, tranquillity. Such a beautiful name.
Legal Insanity’s Shanti Dress comes in 8 choices of colours and textures. This one I am wearing is Jeans Camelia, worn underneath a crochet vest. I am in the mood to try out boho style today and I wonder if this look is somewhat any where near to it! Looking forward to a change, the dawning of a new era, is a lot of distress. Anger and frustrations building up while the wait prolongs. I now understand the state of helplessness and how lives can be controlled by others. Sometimes, no amount of positivism can make lives easier. But for the love of those around us and the love of ourselves, we have to work hard to keep going. Unstoppable like the ants. They will climb over, under or around whenever something comes in their way, they never give up. And their amazing natural spirit of teamwork which we can learn from.

I was all dressed up, ready to go out and make some shots as usual. My looks today is a bit youthful and so I decided to drop by at Almost Wonderland which was a darker inspiration from Alice In Wonderland, as said. It’s a dark, creepy but colourful fantasy with weird plants that has eyes staring at you. Watch your steps when you walk around and be careful not to walk into a Dragon Jaws Plant, as I had, which was laying on the dark path unnoticeable. But if you are adventurous and fearless, go visit Almost Wonderland, find the Dragon Jaws Plant and see what happens…
