Sometimes something comes along that just grabs your eye, and you know instantly what you are going to do with it. This eye-catching short dress/top from E-Clipse is exactly that. From the pattern of the hands covering to the lines of this it is perfection in my eyes. Just love the smooth curve above the breast on the right side, and the long daring split on the left.

It teams perfectly with these semi lace patterned skinny leg jeans from Plastik. These come in 2 styles in the pack……..cuffed and straight legged. Add a geometic patterned cluth from Pure Poison, which comes in 3 versions…left, right, unscripted. Some strappy high heels from Gos, some jewellery from Finesmith and Mandala and it’s a look that can take you anywhere.

To me this just screamed out for some dark,but not too dark heavy eyes. This Liquid Shadow from Kookla fit that perfectly, and blend smoothly with the Pewter eyes from IKON. As I said in another post I just love the new Truth hair textures, and styles, this style being no exception. It has a light, breezy look perfect for summer days or evenings.

Sorry to have not posted again in a while, but between my ISP being no better than dial up half the time, and SL being stuck in grey-world because the changes LL are doing puts a heavy demand on HTTP protocol…something my net is struggling to deal with. After several horrible days it is finally at a point where it’s usable again. Many, many thanks to the Firestorm Support people for taking days to try to sort it for me.
On to today’s outfit.
This ensemble is called Honey and it is by Yasum. It consists of a sleeveless body suit, a mini skirt, and chaps. Showing it here in red, but there is many, many options in the HUDs. Almost every aspect of the skirt and chaps is customisable.

The detailing on the chaps makes them a very cute accessory, while the skirt could easily be a mainstay in a wardrobe. Both are Mesh and come in standard sizing. The skirt also has an option called “Deformer” that does not require an alpha layer to fit.

Accessories are various fabulous pieces by Finesmith. “Grapa” earrings and bracelet in “Darkness” are a nice balance between statement jewellery, and accessory, “Truth” bracelet is totally a statement piece, and the ring “Here comes the Sun” in “Sheridans” is an eye-catching piece without overpowering.

Recently I competed in the Face of October competition. There was 2 challenges for the semi-finals, and then 2 for the finals. This is the first challenge: [“We are all Geishas.” We want you to style a contemporary outfit inspired by Geishas. A Traditional Geisha figure will make you fail. My take on this borrowed from several elements: contemporary japanese style with the jacket, shoes and pants, kawaii with the bag, and kabuki theatre with the make-up.

Been about a month or so since I posted. Partly due to lack of time, but also lack of inspiration. I have been busy putting together outfits for “The Face of October” competition that I entered, and will post those later.
On to the current outfit.For those in the Northern Hemisphere it is almost Summer, for us it is getting into Winter. This outfit caught my eye with it’s bright sunshine yellow skirt, and warm balmy days cerise top.With a style that could be casual and beachy, or dressed up as fun summer evening wear, this top and skirt are a winner.

Teamed here with a lovely jewellery set by Finesmith that is colour change so can be adapted to fit almost any outfit, it adds a touch of glam to the outfit.

I just love the top to this outfit. The cut and style of it lends itself to be able to be worn with many things, from skirts, through to shorts, through to pants. Or even just a bikini bottom at the beach.

A very belated post of a gorgeous dress from World’s End Garden that was featured at FFL. This long spring gown/dress is so feminine and pretty with the smothering of blossoms and flowers over it. I felt it had quite an Asian look and feel about it so styled it that way. But in truth it is versatile enough to be styled many ways.

I chose an older Glam Affair skin called Sakura as the skin base, because it has an Asian look and feel about it. And complemented the eyes with under eye shadow by Chelle, and a rich jewel coloured eyeshadow from Madrid Solo. The hair was a gift from EMO-tions at Hair Fair 2 years back.

Completing the look I chose a stunning necklace from Finesmith that really works well with this gown. The necklace sits in such a way as to look like it clips onto the dress and so is part of the whole. Bracelets are from Mandala for the brown one, and Pure Poison for the rose bracelet.

While visiting FFL  during some time off, I was just browsing around looking and making a mental list of things I wanted before actually buying. Anyway, wandered into this new to me booth for ~ghee~. Noticed a long blue gown named Elemental Gown…couldn’t see it all that well in the lag, but was curious. So right clicked to check how much it was, next thing I knew I had bought it because of the lag. Feeling a little peeved at having spent quite a sum on an unplanned (and possibly unwanted purchase) I cut my losses and went home to try it on.
Well….was I in for a surprise!

This gown is just amazing! I literally did not take it off for almost 2 days, I love it that much. It is called Elemental Gown – Water……and it really looks like it has water running through it. It is nearly totally transparent to give the water look, though does come with modesty bra and panties.

Co-inciding with me accidentally getting this gown, was the opening of {MUA} make-up shop by Shanty Bookmite. One of their release make-ups was the lovely set “Overseas”. Wearing just the eyes here, the colour compliments perfectly the Elemental Gown.

Seems that time just gets on top of me lately. This time I have been very busy with the Metaverse Pageant. After being unsuccessful in applying as a Candidate, I was asked if I would be a Liaison with a group of candidates that did make it in. I jumped at the chance, figuring it would be great behind-the-scenes experience. I had NO clue just how busy that job would be. During the judging I ended up as a judge, and that was literally a full-time job with us putting in 14 hour days. It was fun, it was exhausting, and for me it was educational. And I would not swap the experience for the world.
The second thing that has kept me busy is getting ready to do my first show as a Model. On Sunday March 26, 1pm I will be in my first show through Model’s Workshop. Rehearsals, and styling has kept me pretty hectic the last few days since the finals of the Metaverse Pageant.
Of course I missed a lot of blogging I should have done, and some I wished I had done…..so over the next few days I hope to catch up on some of it.

Ever notice how time has a way of zooming by? I’ve been busy as heck in SecondLife, and next thing I knew 2 weeks had flown past. I did find time to get in some of the current events though.
Lucia from World’s End Garden sent me this pretty dress that is their hunt prize in the Alice in RMK GOTHIC Hunt.
Soft and demure, in soft Spring colors, this dress is well worth the time doing the Hunt.

Like 90% of the grid I went gacha-crazy at the beginning of the month when the Arcade Gacha opened. So many great things to take your chance with RNG being on your side. I didn’t do too badly, and having a gacha yardsale to sell extras at was very useful. This great skin from Swallow was one of my favourites from this round. As are these boots from ISON.

Teamed this all up with the latest group gift eyes from IKON. Love this new range of eyes they have. Added bracelets from Limited Bazaar, and Earrings from TDR Fusion, and we were ready to enjoy the spring air in a garden somewhere.

There has been so many great new releases lately that putting together outfits is more a case of “oh gosh how do I fit all this stuff together”, rather than “ughs, what will I wear with this?”
Take this outfit for example, nearly all of it has been a new release within the last 1-3 weeks.
The first thing that grabbed me was this dress from The Secret Store at FaMESHed. The simple style with a self-contrast stripe and peter-pan collar really caught my eye.

Then there was this hair from LoQ. Didn’t even need to try this one on because it was SO me that I would make it fit! Love the way the hair is styled into a hat at the front, and pulled back into a bun at the back. Next find was these earrings from SoliDea FoliEs. They were just the perfect shade of red for the hair and dress.

All that was needed was some boots, bracelets, a bag maybe, and some tights to pull the outfit together.

Anyone that knows me well enough in SecondLife knows I am a huge fan of World’s End Garden. So when a notice came through the group looking for a blogger I jumped at the chance. Lucia had just released a new set of 3 mesh dresses called Primavera. There is also some new Primavera hair accessories in a Gacha which are transferable so you can give away doubles, or swap with friends.

I love these fresh looking dresses with their floral skirts after all the coats and dark colours in SecondLife the last couple of months.

Just perfect for a day out in the country amongst nature, or even dress it up a little with a bolero for a romantic evening out.
