"Estra" by Amacci

“Estra” by Amacci

It’s always a good day when I log in, and there are review copies from Carina Larsen in my inbox :-)

But first, let’s talk about orchids. Orchids belong to a group of plants knows as monocots. I won’t go into the biology, but in addition to orchids, monocots include grasses, palms, onion, garlic, bananas and so forth. For the most part, monocots have unremarkable flowers. Except the orchid. Orchids are aguably the Plant Kingdom’s most exquisite flower. And Carina has adorned one of one of her new hair styles with orchids!

Estra features swirls of hair wound on top and back of the head, and pinned in with orchids. The hair itself is worn over a hair base (available at no cost at Marketplace and the store) and the flowers are worn as a separate attachment. An included hud lets you choose from 15 orchid varieties, all of them amazing! Flowers in your hair always makes a girl feel pretty.

  • Hair: Amacci Estra (Onyx)
  • Skin: Amacci Nuiko (Pearl)
  • Shape: Amacci Niina
  • Dress: AlaFolie Charlotte
"Thea" by Amacci

“Thea” by Amacci

For those days when you are not doing up your hair for a special occasion, Carina has a casual style for you: a pony tail tied up off the shoulder. The included hud lets you choose from sixteen colors for the band.

  • Hair: Amacci Thea (Butterscotch)
  • Skin: Amacci Hazel (Fair)
  • Shape: Amacci Hallie
  • Top: Maitreya Dakota

Individual packs of 6 – 8 colors sell for L$ 250; fatpacks of 53 colors sell for L$ 900.

Amacci Hair Fair 2013

Previously posted @ In Bourbon’s Boudoir.

Ok, girls, listen up. Hair Fair started yesterday, and it runs through July 28. Once again, Carina Larsen has some new releases that she is debuting at the fair, and I can give you a peek before you head on over. Oh and yea, while the focus is on the hair, let’s not forget that there are some gorgeous skins, shapes, and eyes available at Amacci, some of which I am showing in these photos. (Carina sells some quality jewelry, poses, and animations as well.)

"Carol" by Amacci

“Carol” by Amacci

First up is a bun named “Carol.” With the bun is worn low, and the bangs swept across the forehead, “Carol” would work both as a casual day style and a more formal evening look.

  • Hair: Carol (Coffee)
  • Skin Hazel (Nutmeg)
  • Shape: Amacci Hallie
  • Eyes: Amacci Look Eyes (Coffee)
  • Earrings: Holliday’s Gold Hoop Earrings
  • Top: Maitreya Cupio-color Top (Sweet)
"Dana" by Amacci

Next we have “Dana.” This style is a more complex updo, and I’m looking forward to an opportunity to wear it to the next be-seen event.

  • Hair: Dana (Onyx)
  • Skin: Amacci Liane (Bronze)
  • Shape: Amacci Lottie
  • Eyes: Amacci Real Eyes (Earth)
  • Dress: AlaFolie Marion
"Eclaire" by Amacci

“Eclaire” by Amacci

“Eclaire” strikes me as more formal, still. The hair is pulled tightly back from the forehead, and on top the hair is wound into an eye-catching swirl. And I know this is Hair Fair and all, but I do want to draw attention to what I consider to be Amacci’s most delicate skin, “Nuiko.”

  • Hair: Amacci Eclaire (Black Coal)
  • Skin: Amacci Nuiko (Pearl)
  • Shape: Amacci Niina
  • Dress: AvaGirl Bliss

“Luna” by Amacci

“Luna” I think of as my Monday morning hair. Sorry, no time to blow-dry and curl; just tie my hair in a knot, and I’m out the door.

  • Hair: Amacci Luna (Vanilla Blond)
  • Skin: Amacci Hazel (Fair)
  • Shape: Amacci Hallie
  • Eyes: Amacci Look Eyes (Natural Blue)
  • Tee: AstonisHD Tuff Cup Cakes
"Lova" by Amacci

“Lova” by Amacci

Lastly, there is “Lova,” a bob with severe straight-cut bangs. “Lova” is a free hair that you will find in all of Amacci’s 53 colors in a goodie bag at Hair Fair.

  • Hair: Amacci Lova (White)
  • Skin Amacci Liane (Goth)
  • Shape: Amacci Lottie
  • Eyes: Amacci Look Eyes (Coffee)
  • Jacket: Perception Tina Mesh Leather Jacket

All of the hair styles at the fair are unrigged mesh, so they can be easily repositioned to fit the shape of your head. They are resized through a menu. Individual packs of 6 – 8 colors sell for L$ 250; fatpacks of 53 colors sell for L$ 900. The exception is Eclaire, which goes for L$ 150 for a pack of 6 – 8 colors, or L$ 550 for the fatpack. 30% of Amacci sales at Hair Fair will be donated to Wigs for Kids. Hairbases are included in most packs.

One last thing: Carina has not forgotten the boys. She has a short male pony tail at Hair Fair, named “Tom.”
