The 100 Block event is open and there’s a lot of great stuff that you can get there. For today’s outfit, I chose a lovely dress by DCNY to show you, and I added this hair with hat, new by Tameless.

The skin is a special edition of Fake’s Sara, available at the SL FAshion Week, and the bag is a hunt prize at Ricielli.

Last but not least, I have sad news for all pose lovers. After four years of great poses, Adorkable is closing. I am sad to see this brand go, as it is one of my favorite pose shops. Until June 9, everything at the store is at least 50% off.

Years ago men started pretending to like babies and children – to try and get a woman. They started taking random kids to the park pretending to be their uncle or something – to try and get a woman. They even started going to lamaze classes and attending births – to try and get a woman. I know everyone thinks that those men were supposed to be there but there are a lot more random men showing up at lamaze classes and births than you would think. Women with hormones out of whack, and in severe pain and/or on heavy duty pain killers are not THAT observant. Men did that and now they are stuck with having to be teachers, and stay at home dads, and little league coaches. They never thought beyond “getting” the woman and had no clue where it would all lead and what kind of things would be expected of them.

Now lots of men are pretending to like cats – to try and get a woman.

I am so stoked, the neighbour cut their grass. I know … Planet Bliss has been reduced to an all new level of pathetic-ness.

We are still on lock down from the cyclone/flood. I mean we can get across the bridge to go to town …. if we want to wait in queue with 500 other cars waiting to go across the bridge so we can shop for ummm … nothing … being as the stores are still cleaning up and the grocery stores still cannot get any new supplies in. Hey this is a small community and driving into town is everything.

So ya, watching the neighbour finally mow the grass was a big activity. I gave him a standing ovation at the end of it even though he could not see me. I felt I needed to stand up anyway … my leg had gone to sleep from sitting there so long.

And hubby is no fun … he is out putting up the retaining wall for the new garage and sweating to death in this heat. I am not allowed to give him standing ovations anymore on account of he is worried I may not ever be able to sit down again if I start …

There’s a nip in the air today that asks for a big, comfy sweater. And you can find just the thing at Zenith for the With Love Hunt. This is a nice, tunic sweater with a beautiful snowflake pattern on the bottom. It also comes with a big woolen scarf to wrap around your neck that is edged with round puffballs of yard. The scarf even has a color change HUD to let you choose among the different colors in the sweater to coordinate. It’s not cold enough, though, to haul out the scarf today.

Under the sweater, I added the Maitreya leggings and shoe combo with the ultra-modern heelless shoe. I love the combination of the modern shoe with the the traditional knit pattern.

I added some jewelry from Dark Mouse which is now closed and no longer available. Sorry! I still love it though. The long gold necklace is available – and only 10L in the With Love Hunt. The hair is a new release from Alice Project.

Adam n Eve is releasing this brand new skin tomorrow. It’s called Carolyn and has that fresh blush of red on the cheeks that suggest a bit of brisk winter wind.» View author and full post…

It can be really handy for those outdoor moments when you are freezing your butt off and your skin starts to turn blue.

I confess. I’m ready. The events are exploding and there is so much excitement in the air about everything that is new and amazing for the holidays this year.

I love everything about the holidays on the grid, and even on my borrowed square I’m doing a little bit of sprucing up for the happy time.

From the gorgeous elegant jewelry of Donna Flora to the insanely cute vinyl toys from Schadenfreude, there isn’t much I don’t like about this time of year.

There is an amazing advent calendar out from Trompe Loeil at the Arcade Gacha event. It has twelve doors and twelve keys, and you play the gacha for the keys. Each key opens a door, and you get the gift inside. My first gift is a beautiful pair of earrings!

I also thought my little pretend baby needed something new so I stumbled upon Sweet Penelope’s and got this casual holiday outfit for 75L ! SO CUTE!

It’s Christmas! I could not be any happier!

It was easy deciding what to wear for this second installment in the Raid Your Closet Challenge. There are pieces I will never throw out, no matter how old they are. Among them are most of my Paper Couture designs. This dress is from September 2011 and is still available. I chose it because it highlights how much more experimental and effective the Lu sisters are at working with the system layers. This skirt has a bit more shape and body than the usual system skirt – not because of the skirt glitch that gives us all donkey booty, but because they often made full skirts with system pieces. They took the system skirt beyond the skin-tight pencil skirt and played with form. They weren’t the only ones, but they were certainly the most successful. They have not released in over a year. I hope that means they are taking their experimental, boundary-pushing, technology-testing ways to mesh and are preparing to surprise us all. I hope that’s why we have not heard from them in so long.
