“A thousand times I tempted fate …” – 30 Seconds to Mars, “Up in the Air”

Have you ever tried for something over and over and over, wanting so much to succeed, yet find yourself hitting a brick wall? Yeah, I know we’ve all been there.  Whether in SecondLife or the real deal, it’s life.The times you try and fail cannot orchestrate your fate. It’s in these times that one finds the true strength and confidence to press on, out of the shadows, unafraid to take chances, unafraid to breathe in the new opportunities that present themself each and every day. As they say, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life! The owner of Every Pixel is Art jokingly gave me a hard time for not blogging them. I, of course shot back that the hoodie released for 100 Block was for men and cut into my ample hip area.  He laughed at me, but I must not have been the only one giving it to him because there is a female version that was added to the releases a few days ago victory.  I meant to blog it as soon as it came out, but RL called in a serious way.  All is well, and even though it's taking me the better part of an hour to hunt and peck type I'm glad to still be able to!

I do like standing in the rain.  It is refreshing.  I like the feel of the raindrops on my skin.  I am also a big kid cos I will stand in the rain and open my mouth and catch droplets on my tongue.

It felt like a nice day to enjoy the rain in SL too.  The best thing about SL rain is that I don’t have to dry off after or get warm!

What a week it has been. Perhaps not all of you have seen or heard, but my SecondLife was recently hacked into. Thankfully, no essential information was taken or deleted, but it was scary all the same. As a blogger, I realize that I have put myself out in the public eye, whether through an avatar alias or not, and whatever information or items that I post are up for any individual to ridicule, manipulate, share, agree with or simply scroll by. It’s what we do as bloggers. Plus, there’s that whole thing about freedom of speech and freedom of press, but does this make internet bullying acceptable? Is it funny to point and laugh at images that were thought to be private? Sure, if you don’t want someone to see it, don’t post it. Yet to work your way into someone’s personal property, extract whatever you want from that source and then put it on blast to the world… it’s tough to deal with, but I’m moving on from it, happily. I’m not the only one to be violated and it won’t stop with me, but I want anyone who happens to see this to be careful with what you decide to share.» View author and full post…
