Chav (just me for those of you that don’t remember) started out looking like a poet in that Johnny Depp way. Times change though — in all areas of life — and today I purchased a new skin for him. Note that I don’t say “me” as I never really feel all that comfortable inside “him” . But he is a good looking dude in his new ZMOKE SKIN BY TELLAQ at The Mens Dept.

I wasn’t skin shopping when I ventured over the other eve, but I saw this face on the vendor board and took a demo. I have always been a fan of TELLAQ skins. Wonder has worn one off and on for several years.  This one fit Chav perfectly with just a couple of little nose tweaks in the sliders. There is other newness afoot. A new skybox is out from Barnesworth Anubis for COLLABOR88» View author and full post…. It is small with different levels and a primarily open plan, definitely a place I would be happy with in real life.

My post title hints of mystery and legend and perhaps a new sim to visit. The first two themes are correct. The sim to visit could simply be yours as this is a prefab builder’s set; a dungeon of sorts.

Serendipity is a wonderful thing. I rely on it often. Who knew that one my way to the Mesh Forum I would spot a “newly created” thread asking for blogger interest?  I am, if nothing else, a very good little blogger. I check out everything. Off I went.

The demo was indeed impressive and I sent off a notecard lickety-split. Today the owner-designer of Win Factory Mesh Works» View author and full post… found me up at 3000 meters where I was building a full sim city. After I congratulated him on his sleuthing abilities we chatted awhile and he gave me this Lost Halls of Archeon basic set.

After finishing up my building of the day (yes, I did start at 5 AM), a little voice reminded me it was time to do another post. Instead, I opened the dungeon set and started to play. Now you will need some building skills if you plan on adding this to your land. But, if you can maneuver furniture around, you can probably handle this.

It’s just getting light in my neck of the woods but dawn has broken at MOSP long ago.

COLLABOR88 opens today and I suspect the sim is full as always. When it dies down a bit you will of course want to journey over and see the newness. From Trompe Loeil, I give you the Beach Bungalow in Teal and Yellow. I spent the last hour or so (yawn) placing it on Beach Walk. A little terraforming was needed to use it at its best.

It is a cutie with interestingly shaped rooms. There is a small room which I turned into a “kid’s room” and a room that is most likely meant as a master bedroom and I made a music room. There is plenty of space for a kitchen if you want one.

There are also furniture releases from Trompe Loeil for COLLABOR88. This tall cabinet comes in many colors, with and without decal decorations. And the tri planter in the top photo is  SO CUTE!!!! and so very inexpensive you can hardly not get one or many .  See more info and close ups on those items here.

I evidently used up all my inspiration on Berry’s meme haiku *wink* as I have no idea what to call this post. It gets harder once you pass that 2500 mark.   Ahhhh. Got one!

There’s lots to talk about in this photo shoot. Let’s start up top with hair. We all like hair. Some of us are absolutely fanatical about hair.  This is eXxEsS : NAWIA in  jet which is actually a dark smokey gray (keeping with the theme). It is my favorite so far of the shaved sides (hairbase) mixed with rigged mesh super long locks. This version has added braids on both sides.

My new neck adornment is the lassitude & ennui Chunky black necklace which is actually a gunmetal color (smoking gun?). There is also a gold version and a silver model.

My outfit appeared mysteriously in my Objects folder (having auto-accept on is sometimes like Christmas) from a shop I didn’t know, {simply magik}. This is the Vintage set in purple. There are several different versions of the top featuring a variety of midriff patterns. I chose this one because of the charcoal nature of the middle print.  There are prim bell-bottoms included. Now there are a lot of great prizes at the Sand and Sea Expo. Here are a few of my favorites.

Feel like swimming in the depths or maybe just sunning on a boat? Well this mer outfit from Tideborns is very stylish. The extra fins at the hip are animated and the deformer gets your legs just where they need to be. Know that you will have to relog to get out of that odd mer shape .

This furniture set complete with beachy foodstuffs is from Headhunters Island.
 
The textures are gorgeous, the animations great. What more can I say?

Be aware that not every merchant has a prize out. Most do, but some I have visited three times without finding anything so I suspect they missed that part of the themed event.

Don’t get frustrated if you can’t find a shell everywhere.

If I understood the message in this prize from CHEZ MOI FURNITURES, there are four different prizes in that shell. If you are lucky, you will get this RARE item which comes with menus that let you rez additional props. Couples animations are included.

This fishing pole set is from TUFF not only looks great (two color choices are included in the pack) it works extremely well.

The Sand and Sea Expo opens at 3 SLT. Plenty to see and free goodies to try for.

My lead photo is at the What Next area where there are some really great bike rezzers for purchase. Lots and lots of rezzer styles  to choose from which give out a variety of bikes sized for gals and guys and other life forms (size of avatar may not conform to bikes of course and visa versa). You can get a demo and give the bikes a try. All very upscale and well done.

I took my new pet fish out for a walk; it seemed an appropriate place for a first outing. His name is Clyde and he is part of the new Delirium set from deviousMind.  Now the rest of the set was really not me *wink*, but I LOVE the little fish pet. A better photo coming below this one, but I wanted to show you the particle leash.

My frock of the day is a new release from 20.FIVE, the Ribbon Dress. Several colors are available via a one click hud. Cool and beachy; it’s time for Summer!

I had a great time exploring the Expo.

Early morn. Get those pancakes made. Or if you are lazy, maybe some yogurt and fruit .

Two new releases make up this post. First up the new babydoll nightie from 1Hundred. Available in many colors it is exceptionally cute and definitely on the way to sexy.

There’s a new kitchen in town, out from Trompe Loeil for FaMESHed.  Tons of colors to choose from, I picked the natural beige. You can turn the counter tops to black with a click and there are animations in several parts of the kitchen.  Choose from PG and Adult version.

The kitchen comes in both a rez box and stand alone pieces. My kitchen (the Newport Beach House) was a bit too small for the along one wall version so I decided to work on a modular build. And while that works fine you don’t get all you see here; I found a better plan.

Rez the kitchen out on a sandbox after taking measurements and maybe making a pad the size of your kitchen. Then keep the parts that will fit — for me the main wall that you see here. Take the extras (the fridge and cabinets to the right) and put then along another wall.

I love food props. In the olden days though they came with hefty prim counts. I still have some of those props out, but you can bet that as my land impact points get filled, I’ll be taking them down in favor of smart mesh. These gorgeous plates of food are one land impact each for the most part; the tray in the middle is more.

All this virtual tummy filling food is part of the new Cheeky Pea release for FaMESHed.The picnic table comes filled with lots of animations, both for eating and lounging. The barbecue has touch on-off particle effects and now and then spurts at you when the grease touches the coals. Much fun.

There is a pool with both adult and kid animations as well as some for couples. The pennant string way in the background is part of the release along with a similar lantern string.

 It’s that time again — INVENTORY cleanup.

Now I am pretty good with my inventory. I delete readily and sort — well I do sorta sort. But I not only have too many things, I also have a MESS. Things to go through, box as needed, delete, backup, sort and sort again.

My top folder in my inventory is called “This week’s stuff”. Now obviously I was very optimistic when I named that folder well over a year ago. Releases sometimes stay in there way too long.

I haven’t made it all the way through that folder yet; I have subfolders (and subfolders in the subfolders in the subfolder *wink*) for both the Medieval Hunt and some of Pose Fair. OK. I also found a folder of aDORKable holiday advent poses. Oh my!

Making progress, I give you one “this week” item, one “a couple of weeks ago” item and one “how on earth did I forget about this” item.

It’s almost the first of the month and that means lots of newness. Hunts, events and venues will be coming your way soon. Behind me in a widescreen landscape (click for a larger photo) are some of the releases from The Challenge where designers are put to the test with some unusual themes. This month is “underwater”.

My photo includes many things from Cleo Designs as well as items from [hate this], 22769 ~ [bauwerk] , L&K and  Senzafine.

My personal favorite of this round is a sushi set from Breno.

As an aside, I can now take GIANT resolution photos without that nasty line making a cross. I knew the official viewer had fixed this some time ago and was looking forward to trying out the new Firestorm. It works perfectly now. I doubt I will be taking those really big photos often, but it is nice to know that is an option.
