Strawberry Singh’s Teach Me Something meme appeals to me. To be honest, I do not do a lot of the memes and challenges because what with all the weekly challenges from colors, to Disney characters, to concept challenges to these weekly memes, a person can easily lose track of their own blogging and become just one more iteration of the various weekly themes. However, this meme is particularly fascinating. I would love to learn about skills people use in their real lives – and get an insight into their interests and passions outside of Second Life®.

In my professional life, I probably spent more time planning than doing. After all, there were lots of volunteers and members for the doing, carrying out the plans we made. Hi all!

So yesterday I saw a blogger opportunity to get a sneak preview of the new GOL, if you are not familiar with GOL it’s a long running house/techno club in Second Life. When they change the build they change the number hence the 9th for the 9th build. The grand opening will be this Friday May 24th!

I’ve hung out at GOL more than a few times in the past year so of course I had to see what changes were made. I have to say overall the build has a upscale feel than the last. As far as the layout it is about the same, entrance into a hallway then you choose left or right to hit the dance floor, but now there is this cute column sort of deal with a sign on it saying the 9th GOL. Also if you were familiar with the last build they did away with the rails and the platform they had when you first enter, I have to say I like it better. Also the roof is still open which makes for a cool atmospheric sky light and there are now photos of different parts of avie’s (shoes, hands face etc) on the walls for decor which was a nice touch I have to say.» View author and full post…

Today I’m showing you some lovely things that you can get at The Catnip Carnival, an event put on by Harlow Heslop. She decided to create a group called Avatars for Animals after looking around in world and realizing that there were a lot of amazing charities, but not a lot that really focused on animals. You can read more about it here: Avatars for Animals. I think its a fantastic idea, and the proceeds from the event will be going to River Cities Humane Society for Cats.

The Catnip Carnival offers some adorable things from brands like aDORKable, Peqe, Cae, Truth, Cheeky Pea, GOS and more.
