The work of Quark Fallen
I recently discovered the work of Quark Fallen and instantly fell in love. There’s a romanticism to his work that suits my tastes perfectly. As you explore his art, you become enamoured with the beauty of the world as he sees it through his eyes. Be sure to also join his group, as he is very generous and loves to send out lil pressies to his group members as well.
I’ll let his work speak for itself.
Chateau- a place for lovers, where you are able to rent time there and spend quality time with the person you love. (was 50L for 30 min)
Erdbeeren An enchanted place to share with friends and animals. (be sure to check all the food, as most of it is available for sale for FREE!)
Thank you Quark for showing your magical world with us!
Hidden Faces @ Nitroglobus Gallery
With this exhibit bearing the title “Hidden Faces” the party was themed with masks, veils, hats and other similar items as the order of the day. Everyone looked fabulous! I had a bit of trouble deciding whether to be silly and just stick a paper bag over my head or go for something a little more proper.
As my gorgeous girlfriend – pictured with me here – went to the trouble of putting such a splendid outfit together for the evening I thought that a paper bag was out of the question so ended up going for something at least somewhat more formal that I am used to wearing.
The evening ended up being a double celebration as it was my good friend, and gallery manager, Dido’s rez day! I think I can safely say everyone that attended really enjoyed themselves listening to great music from DJ Lex, and watching pretty light shows that appeared out of thin air before disappearing again.» View author and full post…

SMARTMESH – Chillie – Rider Jacket
I’m finding myself with a rapidly expanding collection of mesh clothing in my inventory – just like most people no doubt. I do love me some meshy goodness, but there are a couple of things I don’t like about it too. One is having my inventory clogged up with at least 6 different sizes of the same thing with (almost) every purchase I make. Second is the constant ‘mini tweaks’ I’m having to make to various bits of my shape so that it fits properly.
I’m hoping my mini gripe with mesh will end up becoming a thing of the past in the not too distant future with the introduction of SMARTMESH™. This very aptly named new type of mesh adapts to fit your shape which means you only need a single “One size fits all” item in your inventory.» View author and full post…
New Exhibit @ Nitroglobus Gallery
Earlier this week the newest installation to feature at the Nitroglobus Gallery was officially opened with another fabulous party.
This time round the works of JadeYu Fang grace the walls of the main gallery while Nitro and Dido – the gallery owners/managers – share some of their own fabulous artworks in the wings.
JadeYu Fang’s installation ”Dark Journey” tells a story about her inner struggle as an artist in both the real and virtual worlds. For Jade there is no black and white to separate one world from the other but many shades of grey linking them together. We can see this through Jade’s art with its dream-like hazes and her abstract style.
There were bubbles absolutely everywhere, which made an easily amused girl like myself very happy indeed. Some people decided to use them as seats, bouncing on them to the beat of the music. Not only do you get to see wonderful things at this gallery, you can improve your fitness levels bubble bouncing at the same time!
Memories, Dreams, Reflections.
A new art exhibit has just recently opened at UnitArt – MagnetiZe with featured artists Gitu Aura and Talullah Winterwolf. Please believe me when I say it is well worth a visit. A lot of the art on display has been created to capture a moment, dream or emotion on canvas leading each piece to have a great deal of personal meaning to its creator.
In a notecard available at the exhibit Talullah tells us:
“In this collection, the majority of works explore dreams, childhood memories and feelings, but each one contains an emotion I was feeling strongly at the time.
I have tried to capture that feeling in the images., and in doing so have realised that the very effect of layering the images and textures is suggestive of the way our memories are layered on top of each other and each whole is the sum of many parts.”
On her “Reflection of Thoughts” works Gitu says:
“ …. i was siting near window…watching outside….the rain drops were falling down calm…and gentle….
my mind was far away…i saw your face on the glass…your sad eyes…your deep eyes…they were calling me:
“come with me…”
….i have closed my eyes…but i still saw the same vision – you…”
I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening party of this wonderful exhibit by none other than Gitu herself.
Agent KJ – Man in Black
Today I’ve broken Kooky boy back out of the box and we’ve got a bit of a “Men in Black” Thing going on. I know it’s probably just me but the idea of it made me giggle away to myself particularly as I remembered the names of the agents in the movie are “J” and “K” – matching my initials. So today I dub myself Agent KJ!
I’ve quite impressed myself this time around. Agent KJ isn’t a bad looking chap even if I do say so myself. It’s taken a whole mish mash of things old and new to create him. At the bottom of it all is the *Ultra shape* I found on the MHOH7 hunt some time ago now. On top of that, after much deliberation, I decided that this months male group gift skin “Vincent” from Filthy was the best fit for my chosen shape.
So that KJ wasn’t completely bald I purchased the “Shorty” head tattoo from 99Hair which I really like. The suit is a free item found at AsHmOot for the “Shaken but not Stirred” hunt. The free 2nd Anniversary group gift hat from Ronsem really adds another dimension to the look and helps to further hide the mysterious eyes that are already hidden behind a pair of Gudshu» View author and full post… sunglasses.
The ElderGoth – Day of the Dead Party.
The first contest of the night was “Best in Bones” which made the decision much easier. I’d picked up this awesome mesh skeleton avatar from Plausible Body which was a perfect match. The free avatar comes with modify permissions which means you are able to set the transparency to whatever you fancy, add glow and/or full bright, change the colour, basically fiddle with it to make it unique to you. I really appreciate it when creators do that.
There was a wonderful party atmosphere created by every one in attendance. The DJ’s were spinning some great tunes; some of which I hadn’t heard for ages and plenty of which I found myself singing along to. Thank goodness for voice being optional otherwise I think I’d have scared everyone away!
