PS. adjusting the poses on this was easier than i ever imagined! me and my sis are extreme shorties, and it worked like a charm.. i highly recommend it for any size av!

Sometimes i like to take a break from clothes and avatars and do a little furniture and decor post, so today i bring you all a little bit of the Four Walls Hunt  that is ongoing until the end of the month.

Again i feel so happy for the coming of mesh, i look at these pics and see such huge improvements in quality when it comes to all rezzable objects available at this time. This last year or so made furniture quality bloom, and most of all diversity with not only more details but lower land impacts, and the huge amount of more blog posts on furniture, houses and home decor shows how much the market grew.

Four Walls Hunt is still ongoing, and you are missing out on some treats if you aren’t a part of it!

I decided for this post i’d flounce around naked, or more… lounge.   So I donned my new Essences TDR skin and hair from Truth and draped myself over my Mudhoney Four Walls Gift!!!  This beautiful little pouffe… or whatever you’d like to call it comes in the most gorgeous vivid red and with bundles of poses, laying and sitting.  I opted for a laying one because you can’t see my tatas and that means I can go on the feed *troll face*.

Also shown is the wonderful desk from DIGS, a beautiful and classic piece.  It’ comes in an olive type greeny brown and complete with lamp and papers to shuffle, or at least pretend to shuffle!    What Next is also in the hunt with this wall Decor, I have a few of these now and I always love when another comes out!  This one is very pretty with a spring tree and birds, and a ladder which can be used to pose against.   Of course you may look at my picture and think “wtf is she doing with those three items together”… what can I say, I like to be different.» View author and full post…

Today’s post is centred around a house I saw at Collabor88 and thought was so fab that I just had to show you.  Then, of course, I had to have furniture to put in it so I decided to do all today’s shots in and around the house to show you that it is a home that suits all kinds of furniture styles.  It just worked!

The house is from Scarlet Creative and Apple Fall and is a great collaborative effort.  I just love the design and textures.  It is called Scandinavian Barn, but there is no way I would be letting cows or horses in this house!

Good news first: my internet is back! And finally I can catch up on things I want to show you. I already told you about the new kid in furniture town [bauwerk] yesterday – today I want to show you one of the quirkiest items that can be found in the store: The “Somewhere Beyond the Sea” chair. The octopus chair is fantastic modeled and looks just so real. It is available in 4 different colors (black, cobalt, red and shown here white) and is just 4 prims (LI 8). Definitely not an everydays chair – but a total eyecatcher in your virtual home. The chair comes with 10 sitting/lying poses – and yeah, you heard right: you can also snuggle with the tentacles of the kraken. [bauwerk] also have the chair in hot pink in the currently running Four Walls Hunt.

The set I took my pictures in is from Scarlet Creative – and it is a freebie on the marketplace. The “Art Cube” was designed for an art show of William Weaver – and it is brilliant. It´s not by the water really but all over SL that the Four Walls Hunt starts today, for the rest of this month at a lovely selection of stores you will find items worth 200L set for sale at 20L and hidden somewhere inside and adorable box with a tree. So go, and hunt and grabb some awesome stuff while you ignore the rest of this rambling blog post.

I wanted to do a special post with more items from the hunt, by the way you can check some previews on their website here, but sadly SL has been hating me latelly, viewers that crash, textures that will not rezz at all, shadows that are ridiculously weird and a lot of bug square, so i couldn´t do my original plan of showing has many hunt items as possible. Also January is one of the busiest and craziest months for my family, we celebrate not one, not two but three birthdays one of them including mine, so between cake and cupcakes, lunches and birthday parties i´m busy, busy.

But i was lucky with these two pics and managed to also stop at COLLABOR88 for some shopping.

I´m not much of a metalics person so this months C88 was a bit lost on me i´ll admit, but i had to grab this lovely dress from R2 i love the shape i love the way the fabric falls and how the rigging is so well done, i just wish it came with matching panties, and the bracelets from BOOM where a perfect match for it, and it all went well with my silly idea of using water, to be honest i rarelly do pics in the water, i dunno why maybe i find it´s sometimes over used, and maybe cause people always mute the skies in them a bit, but i ended up doing a lot of things i don´t usually do it seems.» View author and full post…

The Four Wall Hunt starts verrryyyyy shortly and boy oh boy, are you in for some treats!  With just two of the wonderful items shown here, and many more to be had!   The two I am showcasing today are the gorgeous Pallet Bed from Trompe Loeil and the Modular Shelving Unit from Scarlet Creative!

The Bed itself is.. well.. what it says on the tin! It’s a little bed made up from Pallet’s with a couple of poofy cushions and a blanket, it comes with a plethora of poses and the cushions remind us of what we should all remember… Life is Beautiful!  Another excellently made item from Cory, textures are amazing, poses are spot on and it’s generally just a really nice item, not too fancy, not too shabby… just right!   Of course the colouring on it matches the Modular Shelving from Charlotte just wonderfully!   The shelving comes in different forms, with little bits you can fit together yourself to make something unique, or if you’re like me you just want the job done, so I put out one of the ready made, bigger shelving units.» View author and full post…
