Looky looky, it’s another hair fair release! This time it’s from Epoque which is located on the Water sim, here’s the direct SLURL. I love this classic style and the bangs are a great length, I tend not to be a massive fan of ones that cover my eyes and usually end up modding the hair if it does, but this one’s perfect.

This outfit is also great for anyone who is feeling thrifty after spending all those Ls at Hair Fair.

The skirt and top are from House of Fox which I got last week for 50L Friday. The top is mesh and the skirt has system layer pants with a mesh insert, so it fits nicely. The skin is by Glam Affair, part of their Roza line which they have been selling a few versions of lately at TDR and C88. This one is available at the new round of TDR and is only 70Ls! Also the earrings and ring are from Kunglers at TDR Blue for only 70Ls and there is a necklace to match at the Kunglers main store. Here’s another little LOTD for you that I put together with the new bits out at July’s round of C88 and a recent release from Toki Doki.

I wore this hair in a recent post but it’s just so cute that I haven’t taken it off for a few days now. I have to admit I’d never bought a D!va hair until they came to C88, but I’ve loved both the latest styles they released. The textures have a messy fly away look that not many in SL do and it gives them a unique natural look and as we know I love natural.

This necklace from LaGyo at C88 is a fantastic accessory. After the release of their Alice necklace at Fairytales I didn’t think I’d find another necklace so quickly that I couldn’t take off, but LaGyo proved me wrong with this one. It has texture change stones and flowers so you can match it to just about any outfit.

Also new is this Eri skirt from Toki Doki. It’s mesh and comes in a wide variety of colours and a few different patterns too. I’m really enjoying the Toki Doki mesh range and their prices are really reasonable.» View author and full post…

I have to say I am loving this round of C88. The colour palette for the bleached theme are all the kind of natural, neutral tones I wear a lot of, so I felt pretty spoilt with all the items created for this month. Also I have to hooray! because Glam Affair was back this month with another lovely skin which is simply a steal at only 188Ls.

I put together a couple of pieces and will be bringing more over the next few days.

Make sure you visit C88, it’s well worth a shopping trip, but don’t spend all your Ls because the One Voice fundraiser for Gala Phoenix opens tomorrow!

Since I found myself with some time on my hands this afternoon, I thought I’d bring you another little look.

When I came back from my couple of weeks off, I looked around for stuff that had been released while I was gone but I have to say, shopping as a catch up is no where near as fun as seeing the release pictures on Flickr then dashing off to buy it. But luckily, as I mentioned before, the fantabulous (yes, it’s a word now) creators on the grid spoilt us the past few days and there were a flurry of great releases to pick from.

So here’s some more!

First of all this vest style cardigan is the new group gift from Toki Doki. It’s available to buy in several colours but this one is for free to group members. If you’re not a member of the Toki Doki update group, I’d highly recommend it. There is a 150L joining fee but the group gifts are changed a lot, like every couple of weeks or so, so joining the group is definitely good value for money.

I’m also wearing these new mesh bermuda shorts from Tutti Frutti. I can pretty much see myself wearing these to death over the summer as they’re one of those perfect casuals that you can relax in or dress up if needed.» View author and full post…

Happy Monday! Never thought I’d say that but I feel like I’ve been genuinely spoilt with all the lovely new releases over the weekend so it’s a good start to the week.

I’m a little bit slacking because I am wearing the same top (in a different colour and style) and shoes that I was in my last post, but I honestly love them so much that I’ve been reluctant to take them off, so instead I just styled them with some of the new releases from July’s round of FaMESHed.

But the main thing I wanted to talk about in this post is the Animare pose HUD. It’s been around for a while so this is mostly info for anyone who hasn’t heard of it before or is new to taking pics in SL. This is a nifty little dealio that allows you to alter existing poses or create poses/anims in world. Now admittedly I’ve never used it for creating a pose or animation from scratch, there are several softwares that are easier for that but this is great if you just want to adjust a pose you have already. You know how frustrating it is when you find a pose you love but it’s not quite fitted for your shape, you might have a hand poking in your butt or a prop you want to use going through other body parts…well fret no more about that because this is where Animare is perfect.» View author and full post…

New stuff, I <3 it!

If you follow blogs and Flickr looking for the latest releases you would’ve seen sneaky peeks of these new Aelia wedges from Celoe during the week and quite possibly, like I did, waited in anticipation for them to be released. Well, they don’t disappoint. Beautifully created and textured with an easy to use HUD for matching your skin tone, I think they’re just about perfect.

I’m also wearing another Mon Tissu summer release, the Hanalei shorts which are available in loads of summer colours.

Because this is my 2nd post today and it is a Saturday (yea, I really had no better way to spend my weekend =/) I’m not gonna write much more but I have to mention the lace tank I’m wearing from Chemistry. Chemistry doesn’t have many items right now but I’ve just loved every one of her releases lately. They are completely different from anything else on the grid and I love that unique, fresh feel they have. I can’t wait for more!

I’ve always said that one day in SL is like a real life week with the amount of things that can happen or the way things change so dramatically in such a small amount of time. As you know I was away for about 2 weeks, which in SL terms is…well a lot and it almost feels as though my entire SLife was turned upside down in that time.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not adverse to change. When I started this blog I mentioned the way my SL had changed hugely (huge for me anyway) just a couple of months before, that I never would’ve guessed it but it was great and wonderful yadda yadda. Now things are changing again and I don’t quite know how to feel about it.

I feel as though it’s out of my control, even though in the long run it should be better this way, but I still can’t be 100% happy about it. I don’t know whether I should take control and put a stop to it, or just ride without reins and hope that it turns out the way it’s meant to.

I’m finally back and when I logged on today I made an effort to catch up on releases I’d missed during my break to real life and well…I just got distracted by this Lily dress from Baiastice that is available at the Fairy Tales event.

So in my mini catch up I got round to Lelutka for the Belle hair, TDR and TDR Blue for fab the ring and handbag I’m wearing.

I put it all together and was quite happpy but something wasn’t exactly right. If you read my previous blog you’ll know that I’m a lover of League skins and in all honestly I haven’t worn any others for over a year now, apart from an odd day here or there, my permanent skin was always from League, but when I put this outfit together I just needed a little something else.

Maybe it’s because I have grown so used to my regular skins wearing casual clothes day in day out, that when I try to glam up a bit I always think I still look very casual and natural, despite any make up layers I add, or updo’s and fancy gowns. A little while ago I noticed that I was wearing a lot of blue and white and while I was dressing up for this picture I realised that I’d moved on to yellows. I’m pretty sure this has something to do with the seasons and when I think about it I do tend to do the same in real life, lots more blue, yellow and white in the spring and summer, reminiscent of  a summer sky. Happy colours

So here’s a little outfit I put together that’s exactly that! I love this mesh cardigan by Toki Doki, it’s so comfortable looking and throw-on-able that it’s pretty much a staple inventory item I’d say, in multiple colours of course. I’m wearing the new sunglasses from Mon Tissu which are fab, and this pretty Cynthia hair from Truth.

I just wanted to mention my pose which is by Marukin. I love their poses, really love. If you want a pose that is understated and radiates cuteness then definitely stop by Marukin’s mainstore. They also participate regularly in C88 and the poses available there right now are great.

I’m a girl. Quite a girly girl in fact, but I’m also a football fan and I can even, shock horror, explain the offside rule!

Clearly from the picture above I’m English and there comes a certain amount of heart ache with following the English football team because, well, we never win anything. You also have to be a bit of realist, especially this year because let’s face it, the only way we’re going to win is if lady luck is smiling down on us.

Despite all that, I just can’t help but hope.

So ahead of England’s opening game against France tomorrow in Euro 2012, I just wanted to say good luck and…try not to break my heart too much this year eh boys?
