This little summer outfit is directly out of the annals of the 1940s, when women took up the cause in multiple capacities in the South Pacific alongside men during World War Two.  Of course, the ladies needed downtime too, and weren’t always in their daily beige. 

All new releases today happily, but from multiples sources.  First, my ‘dress’, though really, it’s much more a cover-up.  I put it on first with nothing under it, and lord, you could see everything my momma gave me.  If you’re not exactly that sort of girl, you really might prefer putting a bikini on underneath it.  This is from BOOM and it’s available at FaMeshed this month. 

I’m also wearing another of TRUTH’s newest dos, the sassy Sadie, absolutely perfect for a ‘Riveting Rosie’ type.  And my flip flops are a new Gos Boutique limited edition in Paint, available at the latest round of the Liaison Collaborative.  God, so many events, so little time.  I think I’ll go get an enormous coconut drink with a big umbrella in it and call it a day.

Deco had a lovely dress available today for Fifty Linden Friday. I thought it looked a little bit Alice in Wonderland-ish.

So then I was even more amused when Maxi Gossamer released the Wonderland Elixir necklace for Limited Bazaar.

That screamed to be teamed up together for a blog post.

So this is my red headed version of Alice. By Alice I mean me in a gorgeous blue dress, but I love it.

When I looked at Ava Girl’s newer releases, I knew that I had to blog this one! It’s so fun, and so far from my normal look that I was really excited about it. I loved taking and editing these photos, so I hope that they look okay!

The ever-amazing Harlow Heslop is bringing a fantastic charity event to the grid under the banner ‘Avatars For Animals’ .

Harlow is passionate about animal welfare, and has decided that  it would be a good idea to raise funds in-world for small and very often underfunded shelters and welfare groups.  I couldn’t agree more, and I’m especially excited about the first event, ‘The Catnip Carnival’, which will begin tomorrow. (Location has yet to be disclosed, will update when I know more!) 

‘The Catnip Carnival’ will feature some FANTASTIC designers (are you ready for this?!)  Alouette, Adorkable Poses, Cae, Cheeky Pea, Fri.day, Gos Boutique, Izzie’s, Peqe, Pixel Mode and Truth, and will run from May 18th -May 26th. 

This event will raise funds for a no-kill shelter in Louisiana, USA, called ‘River Cities Humane Society For Cats‘.  You can read all about Harlow’s reasons for selecting this worthy cause by visiting her wonderful blog. 

I’m sure by now you know that I am obsessed with all things feline, so this event instantly appeals to me.  The quality of the content creators who will be participating as well as the cause for which the monies are being raised make this an absolute must-see. I’m not spending any Lindens until I’ve visited this event as I have a feeling I will be well and truly wiped out by it!
