Sweet Like Chocolate

When I saw these chocolate avatars from Curio Obscura featured on the Virtual Vagabond Blog it really did get my gigglers going. I love the sillier side of SL and these beauties certainly fit into that category.

In the box, which you can pick up for free, you get the Chocolate coated skin, matching hair and eyes. You can then customise your look by wearing whatever shape takes your fancy. I don’t think I’ve ever looked quite so tasty! MmmMmmMmm!

Though you can’t see a great deal of it in the background in this picture I’m in the “Grumpy Old Men Fishing Shack” that I picked up from Prism in the Cold Winter Nights hunt for just L$10. The beds have several adjustable poses in them and there is a bench on the other side that is also loaded with poses. In the corner to the right of Mr Melty is a quaint little stove – a source of heat these two could probably do without!

SMARTMESH – Chillie – Rider Jacket

I’m finding myself with a rapidly expanding collection of mesh clothing in my inventory – just like most people no doubt. I do love me some meshy goodness, but there are a couple of things I don’t like about it too. One is having my inventory clogged up with at least 6 different sizes of the same thing with (almost) every purchase I make. Second is the constant ‘mini tweaks’ I’m having to make to various bits of my shape so that it fits properly.

Now, sure I could delete the sizes that don’t fit my avatar, but then what if I decide to change my shape somewhere down the line either for good or just for fun and find the version I kept doesn’t fit anymore? That’d be crazy amounts of frustrating…Especially if I’d thrown out the original box with all the sizes in it

I’m hoping my mini gripe with mesh will end up becoming a thing of the past in the not too distant future with the introduction of SMARTMESH™. Room 326 – The Prizes

As always with the MadPea hunts I had an absolute blast with this one. Some of those envelopes were really tricky to find, but that’s part of what makes it so much fun! So long as you read the information from the HUD carefully all the help you need to find them is there. If you’re still stuck though, there are always MadPeas in the communal pod (or group chat as others might call it) that will be more than willing to lend a hand.

There are some absolutely amazing prizes this time around from clothes, jewelry and tattoos right across the board to skyboxes and things to fill them with. I’ve done my best to show you a selection of the different items you’ll be rewarded with at the end of the hunt.

As far as the clothing goes I’m in a bit of a mish mash of goodies. I have the “Do not Disturb” mesh hoodie from +REDRUM+ which is one of several items from them. On my bottom half are jeans belonging to the ‘Evidence’ outfit on offer from Just Because and right at the bottom are chucks with attached legwarmers from Death Row Designs.

Enchanted Frost Hunt Prizes & Hints

Over the weekend I spent some time doing the MadPea Enchanted Frost Hunt and like with the last one it was an absolute blast. I really enjoy the whole idea of following a story with hidden clues in each ‘chapter’ given to you by the HUD* as you travel from one place to the next. I find it so much more engaging than the usual way hunts are handled

This time around the hunt object is a small, red, glowing memory orb and I’d advise double strength specs and a magnifying glass to help you hunt it out. It can be extremely tricky to see, but they are all there, honest!» View author and full post…

Baffled Kitties – Time to Play

I was checking out the events posted on the Seraphim Blog a couple of days ago and saw that there is another shop due to close soon. I decided to hop over and take a look at products I could pick up at rock bottom prices. Everything at Baffle has been reduced down to just L$55 which is insanely cheap when you account for the quality of the items there.

As I had a look around a few things caught my eye including the skyboxes which you can test drive on the demo platform before purchase. I was amazed by the quality of them and grabbed a couple.

While I’m quite happy with my SL home I am going to get plenty of use out of these boxes. I think the one I am showing here – Le Petit Reve - will serve wonderfully as a little studio and backdrop for my blog pictures when I’m feeling lazy or don’t have time to find setting.

Start The Weekend

Hi! Happy Friday! I’m personally both glad it’s the weekend but also horrified. My classes start on Monday again and it’s got some pretty big changes for me. We shall see. In SL though, Friday is absolutely a good thing! I wasn’t going to do a post at all because I’ve seen lots of really good blogs go through already about some of the great things on Fifty-Linden-Friday. But.. then Blueberry sent out a group gift, twice even when the chatter started about anticipating other colors! The gift this week from Blueberry is these awesome thigh high boots. Now, to be completely honest, this shoe base, tall sock like boot up over the knee has never really appealed to me. These boots changed things and sent me on an awkward hunt to figure out what goes with boots so tall! The Blueberry group is free to join and there’s almost constantly a group gift to be had somewhere, whether in store or in the notices. Also probably one of the most generous and approachable designers I’ve personally come across.
