Recently for the BOSL Fashion Week, I was allowed the honor to walk in *SoliDea FoliEs* gorgeous, Valentino inspired “Muse” gown. Speaking with Mila about the dress, I knew, like all things she creates, this one was going to be special. For one thing, Mila knows me, she actually “gets me” as the saying goes. She knows I am not much for the ruffly prom-my type gowns and prefer svelte elegance. For another, she showed me the three gowns that she was using as inspiration. And to be honest when she said she was going to use pieces of all three, I was thinking, “um ooookkkkaaayyy” But then, thats why she is a fashion designer and I am, well, I am a Cao.

When she unveiled to finished gown, I knew. I just knew, this dress is special. It is beyond elegant and unlike any gown I have ever owned. In real life or Second Life. So keeping it short today, its a Friday afterall, Thank you Mila for allowing me to walk in this treasured dress. As always, you inspire me to be be better, to think smarter and to style creatively. I love you my dear Mila.

I was a little down this morning about a random comment, so I was going to skip today’s blog and just stay mellow and listen to music when I ran across Nikki Sixx’s (Motley Crue et,al) “Life is Beautiful” on my MP3 player. Life Is Beautiful is about Sixx’s past drug addiction, the difficulties he encountered while addicted. And as we all hope of those we love who live in addiction we always hope they reach the realization that in reality, life is a beautiful thing, worthy of living. If you are sad or upset, take a moment and look outward, enjoy the smile of a newborn, a flower growing in a rocky area, hear the sound of a bird whistling to the winds or the purring of a cat. Sometimes we focus that mental camera inward too much, so I love to change my view by opening doors for strangers, smiling like I mean it and often just saying hallo. Life can be an amazing adventure, but really it is only what we put into it that measures what we receive from it. After having luck last night with pictures today SL screws me over again with letting me crash all the time, when I try to snap with shadows. Slowly I get in trouble slowly to not get angry and depressed since it seems not to be my issue as sometimes it works and most of the time not… but anyways…

Thankfully my sweet sister Falballa helped out with this one and made this super awesome pictures of us both Thank’s a lot for that sissy <3.

But now for the post :p

Again we have wonderful contributions from Ezura and Artistry by ~E~. The wonderful “Roses with Hat” mesh halter dress is the perfect outfit for the actual summer season. A short, loose dress with a wonderful cleavage look and 2 thin lines that hold it in place. The amazing floppy hat as well is part of the outfit.

For the jewelry I chose another one of the amazing sets by Artistry by ~E~. The “Kim Set” for me gave the “Roses with Hat” dress a very elegant touch and the “Oversized Sunglasses” from Izzie’s again added some vintage look. The vintage touch brought me on the “Allure Tights” sandals from Maitreya, with their neat knee socks :p.» View author and full post…

A combination of culture and elegance, with this outfit styled with TheWhiteArmory dress Lady Danielle you get a mix of the romance and melancholy, the gloom that in the past inspired musicians to form “FADO,” also known as the “Portuguese Blues,” which is a type of music that is characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics. This type of music had it’s birth in the early 1800′s.
Appropriately mixed with Donna Flora Lucilla set in gold color and Isaura Simons hair to claim the past way with a Tudor Hat..
This outfit is styled as a tribute to the Portuguese culture, and UNESCO recently added Fado into it’s “List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.” This event gave some good thoughts to the Portuguese country and in Lisbon the party was on for 48 hours under the melody of FADO.
