Well there is quite an uproar surrounding the Home & Garden Expo! It kinda dampens my excitement over my new house lol. But I choose to promote this event because it is for charity and there are so many wonderful, original designers and they don’t deserve to be punished because of one (I think only one?) store. If you haven’t heard, the store “Ionic” (who are known IP infringers) was allowed to participate in the event. Even after being called out numerous times, this store still continues to use art they do not have permission to use on their creations. This is unfair to the original artists as well as other honest designers in Second Life.

I know why they continue to create these things… because people continue to buy it! Yes, I know, their stuff is really cute and its so tempting to buy something with your favorite band’s album art on it but think of it this way, your favorite band is being ripped off while this store makes money off of them. Its not fair, its not legal and LL should do something about it. I would happily support Ionic if they owned up to their actions and stopped using stolen art.» View author and full post…

Heya peeps,

the following Outfit will be a little on the posh side of things, yet all materials are valid for any kind of medieval role-play. I was kinda inspired by…guess who? The red priestess Melisandre. Love, love, love her. She’s, besides Margaery, Olenna and Arya my favourite female character. Which is yours?

I really would love the outfit offered by Coco Designs even more if it came in separate pieces. I don’t know why awesome mesh creators are not realizing how much more versatile their creations were if they allowed them to be mixed and meshed some more. :/

Magika has released some new hair which is a very simple and sleek look, which matches Melisandre’s style just perfectly. I am generally a HUGE fan of Magika’s hair, it always seems to fit my head just perfectly, unlike some other hair creator’s hairs.

The skirt by Milk Motion seems to be new as well, and damn, it comes in so many colours perfect for gorean caste role-play (wear an undershirt!) or rp in general.

Hi people! Back to my weekly post thingy I guess, this time I got to make it in time for the Twisted Color Challenge! Today I’m wearing a dress from a store that I know many of us will miss… it’s so sad to see The Sea Hole closing its doors! There are still a few days left to do some shopping for only 50L at their mainstore, so don’t forget to take a LM!

My hair is from Truth and it’s a donation item at The Catnip Carnival. This event runs from  May 18th to May 26th and it’s part of a project called Avatars for Animals, which main goal is to focus on small, underfunded shelters and welfare groups. The Catnip Carnival proceeds will be donated to a small shelter in Louisiana, USA called River Cities Humane Society for Cats. Head here for more info on the event and the project!

Now for the credits! The colors this week were named Bathroom Tile, so the title and the song are only logical. Hey, don’t blame me! At least I managed to match them quite well this time I think!
