There are ways of looking at life where things that are ending really means they are just beginning. I remember finally understanding Algebra, then in the fall, Calculus was required. When I graduated from High School, College began.

I finally reached my goal of graduating from MVWA. I find it exciting, but only the beginning of becoming a polished, recognized and respected model. This new phase takes just as much concentration and as much passion as well. I’ve been styling for a year now, intentionally beginning blogging so I would have multiple points of view from designers to practice with and ultimately because I simply loved blogging! I look at this new outfit by [[Massoom]] and the great poses from Demise of Flight and I think to myself, what a wonderful gift to be given, the opportunity to represent these creative people. Each time I go to a casting, or enter a contest or anything else related to our fashion world in Second Life, I know I grow and improve. This is just the beginning. Hang on to your hats, its going to be a wild ride!

I’d do anything, that you wanted me to… lyrics from one of my favorite country music artists Tim McGraw… defines the core of my personality. It takes a long time for me to really get comfortable around people, but once I am, I’d do anything just to see them smile.

What’s the best experience I’ve had in Second Life? I have been reflecting on this as another year begins and I look back to my own beginning in March of 2005. So many things have changed. Each change brought ups and downs, and sweet and sour, and all the diversity life offers in our worlds off line. After all we’re in a microcosm of life in this world, even if some of us are unspellable creatures from the planet Kragnon or tinier than the average beetle.

This delicious mini comes from the Fashion Limited, a location where several designers show their very best in exclusive items and items sold in limited numbers. The bra like top reminds me of Madonna and the print is so innocent. It’s the perfect blend of soft and hard.

With this view, you can see how short the dress is, and the cute and playful print is seen at another angle as well. I paired it with both shoes and jewelry from Liv-Glam designers.

The Pimp My Valentine Hunt is in full swing. It will continue to run through the fifteenth of Februay. Many of the items are precious fun pieces to add to your avi that celebrate the lovers’ holiday.

Kaithleen contributed this sexy and short mesh skirt to the PMVH hunt. Because I’ve worked with her designs before, I know this is a great example of her work and quality. Paired with this, also from the PMVH hunt comes the choker you see in the photo. I know they didn’t collaborate, but the way the choker from Freya seemed to match the skirt was great (one note – the choker is color change so it will also go with other great looks).

You also see a new pair of boots called 80s Flat Knee High boots from [VCB]. The top also comes from [VCB] and pulled the overall look together. I don’t go ‘dark’ very often, but when I do get pieces that lend themselves well to it, I go for it.

EvaAlmighty strikes again, this time with a super Valentine hunt. From time to time, I will be sharing items from various designers that are part of the hunt. I try to remember to paste the logo for an event on each photo to help differentiate between events.

I have the joy of working with Dot-Be Fashion and love BonieFacio’s casual comfort style. I pulled on a pair of jeans from one of his new releases this month, “GianCarlo” to go with the heart hoodie he submitted for PMVH.

One of the things I like best about Shiki is how they treat their group members. I’ve been to this store several times and found myself lost in the vastness of this designer’s creative mind. The floral outfit seen here includes the dress and unique applique of flowers across the chest. Beyond searching for hunt items, I encourage you to visit Shiki. If their style suits your aesthetic, you will find a thousand ideas to try and enjoy.

It’s a rare thing for me to pause and do something in Second Life that does not relate to the fashion world. I love the world I’ve chosen to follow this past 16 months, from my shear enjoyment of the job I had at Carrie’s Lingerie to the work I’ve done with Face Paint, Liv-Glam and Snowpaws blogs, to the many supportive designers who’ve given me the privilege to work with their designs.

One thing I did do recently thrilled my heart and kept me smiling for days after the actual event. I officiated an in world wedding with two really sweet friends. I had mentioned to them seriously, though I think at the time they thought me teasing, that when I had the opportunity to photograph a couples prop for blogging, I’d ask for their help.

Saturday I set an appointment with them, and they were happily surprised, and yesterday, I had fun with props and watching that infectious warmth of a new and good relationship as I worked with them. We first did a prop pose set from Possession. They wore fancy clothes and laughed and teased as we worked. (first photograph)

I’ve known Kim Rongyu just short of one year and have seen her do just about everything in Second Life related to fashion and the fashion industry, and now she’s added one more success. During the final few months of this year’s Miss Virtual World contest, a contest for which Kim represented Cyprus as MVCyprus, Kim also opened her own store.

During a conversation about her latest endeavor, she shared several items that were part of her store. The Kepi outfit on the left is all mesh, definitely perfect for a business meeting or interview an the chill of this time of year. The Calista dress had multiple patterns and colors, and this one I chose ‘Leaf’ reminded me of brighter seasons, spring and summer, and packing to travel to Casa Blanca for a getaway mid-winter to warm up and have fun. The dress certainly suits such an occasion. The deep green/teal long sleeved Bobbi Knit sweater dress is my favorite of the three. I could see me wearing that dress many places, right this minute. I’d download it to my living room if I could!

So it really is Christmas here, 109 a.m. but since no one in the family has slept yet, visions of sugar plums haven’t danced in any heads yet. And the mouse might still be stirring. If I SEE the mouse though, I might scream so it should stir out of sight and out of mind.

This snow globe made by ~Shadow Moon~ has a very large nearly clear sphere, large enough to host three interesting poses including the one I used perched on the mailbox. 

The outfit I received from Dreamz Designs, called Dreamy Mouse, relates to the holiday story and mice. It’s cute and has a little essence of Minnie Mouse from an entirely different background. The costume and the globe meshed well together. Sometimes we all need to play.

*One neat thing about this outfit/costume, prim feet that seem to be good quality, are included and I didn’t own any previously.

The designer at Jazzitude creates a wide range of items. This outfit reminded me of what I might wear curled up in front of a fire, watching for Santa as time grows late on Christmas Eve.

I also had a little help from a friend who’s helping me learn more about styling with jewelry for different types of outfits. One of these days, I may actually grow up to be a real model. I want to learn everything and absorb it all. When we spoke tonight, she pulled out a simple yet elegant Snowflake necklace. As a treat to you, she has said, “IM me in world and say, ‘Let it snow!’ and I will send them the necklace and the earrings that can’t be seen in this photo as a special gift.” IM Endra Graves for your treat.

Someone put together a cute little elf costume. I’ve seen something or other every Christmas I’ve been in Second Life, and this year, I’ve covered a number of events with holiday themed items, but not quite this elf-ish. I love it. We all need a little fantasy in our life.
